赈灾募捐 Szechwan Earthquake Donation
北京时间2008年5月12日下午2：28，四川省汶川县发生里氏7.8级地震，包括首都北京在内的多个省市均有不同程度的震感。截止到2008年5月16日星期五，四川省里氏4级以上余震共发生121次，遇难人数估计在5万人以上，约1.5万人下落不明，其中有约2千名中小学生和老师被埋在坍塌的学校下。一时间，震区变成了人间炼狱，随时可能有生命在废墟中咽下微弱的气息。有官员称，约有一千万人被此次地震波及。
York CSSA行动在使馆号召以前，在校园和社会上呼吁募捐，并筹得善款5,000英镑。善款在中国驻英使领馆的监督下，统一转交中国教育发展基金会，为灾区人民换得了救命的饮用水、食物、药品，或挡风遮雨的临时住所。在此我们忠心感谢你的爱心和你的每一份捐献！
此时灾区的重建工作正在进行中，该项工程十分庞大，需要更多资金和人力的投入。在此York CSSA呼吁社会各界将目光投向流离失所的灾区人民们，并伸出援手帮助他们重建家园，重拾幸福！
A major earthquake measuring 8.0 on the Richter scale recently hit the town of Wenchuan, Szechwan province, China. More than 50,000 people were feared dead with 15,000 people missing, many of them are buried. Dozens of thousands of people have lost their friends, families, and loved ones, and yet, they are struggling on the boarder of death! 10 million people have been affected by the quake.
A donation was called by York CSSA in both universities and town. After one-month donation, 5,000 pounds were donated to China Education Development Foundation and then changed into treasures drinking water, food, tents and life saving medicines for quake-hit areas.
York CSSA and all Szechwan people would like to express their heartfelt thank to those who help them go through that difficult time！ However, the reconstruction in quake-hit cities also needs support. Please help those homeless people rebuild their home and find their faith!
