About York CSSA
华人学生学者联谊会Chinese Students & Scholars Association （简称CSSA）是一个全球性的华人留学生组织，在世界各个国家都有分支，并接受当地中国使馆的指导，每个身在海外的中国籍学生和学者都是学联的一分子，在英国近百所大学内共设有60个地方学联。
约克华人学生学者联谊会（亦称约克学联），自成立以来致力于捍卫华人学生和学者的权益，丰富他们的海外生活、增进他们之间的团结与交流，传播中华文化，并发展与华侨、英国及其它各国友人之间的友谊。同时，她也是大使馆和留学生、华人学者之间的桥梁，及时传递国家与留学生息息相关的政策信息。
Chinese Students & Scholars Association (CSSA) is a global student organization. There are a number of local CSSAs all around the world. CSSA in York is the only organization to represent Chinese students and scholars in York. As of October 2007, there are approximately1800 registered members, most of who are from the University of York, St. John University and York College. Members also include other ethnic individuals who are generally interested in Chinese culture.
The purpose of York CSSA:
■uphold and protect Chinese students’ entitled rights;
■organise activities to entertain Chinese students;
■promote social and cultural exchange between Chinese community and other cultural and social groups.
